Hershey Bar Pie

Labor Day marks the official end to summer. Make one last sweet memory by serving this pie! Though different versions exist, this one from my mother is our favorite.

Ingredients

7 1.45-ounce Hershey candy bars

20 large marshmallows

½ cup milk

½ pint whipping cream

Cool whip (8 ounces)

Graham cracker pie crust

 Instructions

Place broken candy bars, milk, and marshmallows in a suitable dish and melt together in the microwave for 3 minutes.

Stir the mixture and add additional time as needed until the consistency is smoothe and blended.

Set aside and cool slightly. (I placed my mixture in the freezer for a brief, quick chill.)

Whip the whip cream until it forms a peak.

Fold into chocolate mixture.

Spoon into the graham cracker pie crust.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Before serving, top with Cool Whip which has safely thawed in the refrigerator to be able to spread.

Oh my! Pity the person who does not like chocolate.
