The predawn light reminded me that my challenges were not just a bad dream. I was not waking up and walking into sunshine, lollipops, rainbows, and everything that’s wonderful. No. The pain that tucked me into bed kept an overnight vigil and now stood at my bedside shaking me to wake up.
With that gut-wrenching reality, the Holy Spirit immediately—supernaturally—turned my mind to my 911 verses. In sweet intimate companionship, He and I walked hand in hand through the truths, that have stood the test of time. And the truths that would get me through this day.
Sufficient grace
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Divine power
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness” (2 Peter 1:3).
Perfect peace
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3).
Constant protection
“But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior . . . ” (Isaiah 43:1-3a).
Morning mercies
“The LORD’S loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23)
Plans to prosper
'For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11NASB).
Genuine Joy
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior” (Habakkuk 3:17-18).
